Dashboard Screen

The dashboard screen can be opened using the popup menu and selecting Dashboard

You will see a screen similar to this one the 1st time you open the dashboard screen:

Each sensor you select for readout in the settings screen, and for which you check the Display the sensor in dashboard box will appear in this dashboard.

The dashboard has a few icons long its edge, a small explenation follows:

this will close the dashboard
this will minimize the dashboard
pressing this buttom controls how the dashboard window is show,

  1. normal window and shown on taskbard
  2. always ontop window and not shown on taskbar
  3. normal window and not shown on taskbar
  4. always ontop window and not shown on taskbar but if you dock it to a side of the screen it will autohide leaving a line of 2 pixels on the edge of the screen, move your mouse of that and it will pop up again

this will open the settings screen
pressing this button will lock the meters in their place, you can no longer drag them around.
this slider appears if your running windows 2000 or XP and allows your to set the dashboard transparent

The dashboard has some other neat tricks:

- it will snap to the edge of your screen
- you can drag and drop each sensor on the dashboard where you like it like this:

- the second thing you can do is resize the dashboard using the 4 small arrows to fit your new layout of the sensors:

- and finally you can make the dashboard remain always on top using the litte |- button.

Eventually you can end up with something like this:

if these are all the sensor you wanne see.

There is also an option to make the dashboard open automaticly when you start MBM 5, this option can be found in the General section of the Settings window

If you do not want a certain sensor to show up on the dashboard them simply to to the visual section of that sensor and turn of the option.

Finally as of MBM 5.1.0.1, if you right click on the dashboard the sidebar will be removed or replaced
